Our Recruiting Process
Searching for a Candidate
Our searches begin with a review of our current database of candidates
and industry contacts. Based on our experience, we have found that the best candidates
come through personal referrals, hence it has become our preferred method of recruiting.
In addition, we conduct limited internet searches as well as maintain a website to post
our job openings.
Throughout the process, we strive to maintain the strictest standard
of confidentiality for candidates as well as clients.
Prescreening a Candidate
Before presenting a candidate, they are thoroughly prescreened through a
telephone interview to assess their technical background, managerial experience, career
objectives, fit with the client's culture and interest in the specific open position. We
will also undertake a personal face-to-face meeting with a candidate for all retained
searches, and if appropriate, for contingent searches as well.
Presenting a Candidate
A candidate's resume is presented only if we are reasonably certain
there is a match between their background/ objectives and a client's requirements.
We recognize that time is important to hiring managers, and we will
not indiscriminately inundate them with resumes that are not on target.
Interview, Offer & Negotiations
We strongly encourage candidates to surface all their issues and
concerns during the interview process. After an offer has been made, we counsel the
candidate to ensure they are accepting a new position for all the right reasons. As a
result of the trust levels we establish with both clients and candidates, it is our policy
not to negotiate on behalf of either. We prefer to limit our involvement and facilitate an
open dialogue between both parties.
Background Checks
Our standard service includes a variety of background checks including:
· References (business & personal)
· Education
(most recent degree)
· Criminal
(current state of residence)
We will conduct additional background checks if specifically requested.
Continual Involvement
After a candidate has been placed with a client, we follow-up with both
parties to ensure that their respective expectations are being met. Typically we will do
this after 4-6 weeks of hire and again after 6 months.
