Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Who pays for your services?
Our client, the hiring company, does. Candidates do not pay any fees.

Are you a contract staffing company?
We are primarily a direct or permanent placement company. We do contingent and retained searches on behalf of our clients. On very rare occasions we provide contract staffing, only if requested by our client.

What kind of jobs do you have?
The majority of openings are with automotive suppliers and OEM's in an engineering or technical function. Clients seek our services primarily because of our expertise in automotive engineering disciplines. Occasionally we are called upon for candidates in the computer systems areas which are closely related to engineering functions, such as CAD or CAE systems.

We normally do not place candidates in the finance, IT (ex. ERP, database), human resources, sales or marketing functions, unless a special engineering related background is required.

Most of our placements are for the mid-level professionals and higher. We also conduct executive searches for Director and Vice President level positions, in the technical functions.

Who are your clients?
Most of our work is on behalf of tiered suppliers to the automotive industry. We work with the OEM's on a limited basis for specialized searches.

Will you keep my resume confidential?
Yes. All resumes are kept strictly confidential. Before sending your resume to a client, we will discuss the position with you as well as our assessment of your qualifications. Only if you have expressed an interest in the position will we send the resume to our client. We do not post resumes on the internet. We do not mass mail resumes to clients.

Most of our searches are conducted on a confidential basis, and we may not be able to initially reveal the name of our client. In that case, to protect your interests, we would ask you to indicate the names of companies where you do not want your resume sent.

What kind of salary increase can I expect?
Companies have established pay ranges that are dependent on the experience level of the candidate and responsibilities of the position and are commensurate with the current market. Our clients will typically look at a candidate's current salary, experience, level of responsibility, and skills before making an offer which will typically provide the candidate with an incentive, financial or non-financial, to accept employment.
